MAKING A LIST AND CHECKING IT TWICE.....

Yes, you read that right!  I am making a list, and checking it twice.  That list, is my list of New Year's Aspirations!  I like the word aspirations instead of resolutions, because I think it sounds a little more gentle.  I am writing my list of those things that I hope to accomplish like the usual losing weight, exercising more and eating healthier..... and I will remove those things that cause frustration and regret when I look back at the end of the year because I did not achieve them.

I have a sign in my store that reads:  It is never too late to be what you might have been.....

We have 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days to begin anew.....  What are some of your hopes and dreams for the new year?

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

I have so enjoyed blogging in the last few months of this year, and I want to thank each and every one of you for your kind comments and emails!  I look forward to the year ahead!

My thoughts exactly! My goals are printed on my blog...but basically to exit the working world and find a way to make an income from home part time and also a part time job. I'm going to begin making all natural body care products and take it from there.

I also once again want to make sure I take more time for pampering myself--each year I get alittle better but I still have along way to go..shed the guilt and say YES to time for ME!

I am working on my usual list of weight loss, exercise and organizing. But I must make some index cards to carry with me, so my goals will be in front of my face at all times!I also found it beneficial to make a dream board. I used this last year and it really works!

I was doing the same thing this weekend. OF course I will aspire to loose more weight especially with all the weddings I have this year!! Save/Budget Money for We need to get into a house within the next year we are out of space. I also have written a children's book which I would like to finish it and get it published. Lastly I want to start an non-profit organization along the lines of helping to educate children whether that means after school activities, books, technology, parent training etc... And of course Enjoy life!!!

Aspirations! I like that idea. Sort sounds like things you hope to achieve, but don't beat yourself over it if you don't. Right? To just to the best you can each and every day. Can't get any better than that. Oh, I love the new look too.

Thanks for your sweet comments.

I like your first three items on your list as they are mine too and they are also the three that probably get crossed off first! lol

I like the term "aspirations", as well. It definitely is a kinder, gentler word.

I have the usual aspirations ( lose weight, get organized etc.) but a personal one for me is to read more. To actually make time to sit down and read a good book. One that challenges me, or touches my heart and makes me think.

Hi - I found your blog through another blog - isn't that always the way! I adore your last post - I things aspirations are so much better. I have been calling mine 'objectives' but I will steal your idea (with your permission, naturally) and will have '2009 aspirations' instead!

And I love the idea of never being too old to be who you want to be - your post was truly inspirational to someone who is at a crossroads across the Atlantic from you.

All the very best wishes for you for 2009 from Northern Ireland.

Hi Carol....I also like the word aspirations! and I love the sign in your shop "that it is never too late"......

Me looking at you and what you do, is something I would aspire "to be".... I guess we each in our own way....want to keep growing, and creating.... keep dreaming of what we still can be and what is still to come!

This was a lovely post! Happy New Year...it has been nice getting to know you this past month. :) ~Cheryl

Carol. I like your ideas. I don't think we are being very kind to ourselves if we set such lofty goals that we kill ourselves trying to acheive them, yet we need something to aspire to, well put. I "aspire" to visit your blog more this year!!!
