That's it!  The recipe for Everybody's Favorite Meatballs....

We're partying out in the Hamptons tonight.... and I'm bringing my usual, and everybody's favorite.  This recipe is so easy, and guaranteed it will be the hit of the party whenever you bring it.

1 (18-ounce) package fully cooked meatballs, frozen
1 (10-ounce) jar grape jelly
1 (16-ounce) bottle ketchup

Combine the grape jelly and ketchup in a large, heavy saucepan.

Stir over medium heat to blend the jelly and ketchup.

Add the meatballs and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, so the wonderful flavors will be absorbed.

That's it!
It doesn't sound good, but they are really delicious!

Now, I'm off to bring the dogs to be groomed!  After all, they're  party animals, too!

I wish you all a wonderful, safe evening!
Happy New Year 2009!

Happy New Year! I've made those for years...your right they are awesome and so easy. I use the mini hot dogs or smoked sausages also. Add some festive toothpicks and DONE!

I have to admit-most of the times I make these--I make my meatballs homemade...I have a fecipe passed down from one of baldymans mom's friends that is over 30 years old that I use for the mini meatballs--very good, quick,,but messy!

Niki~ Trust me, I know the ingredients sound gross, but make it just once, and you will see. They are absolutely delicious. See Dawnie's note also to use cocktail franks! Yummy! :)

That's one of my favorites, too, especially since it's quick and goof-proof!

I thought the same thing until I tried it for the first time several years ago. Somehow the grape jelly and ketchup meld together and create a really yummy sauce.

Carol, Happy New year to you and your family. May the upcoming year be filled with happiness, prosperity and good health!

I do something a little different and I will be taking it to an Open House tomorrow. Mustard and apple jelly and cut up hotdogs, usually the Oscar Mayer brand. I got a different brand this time, because the Oscar Mayer brand was not on sale.

Happy New Year from your further East neighbor...
I agree about the meatballs...friend told me to try cranberry was good, but liked the grape jelly better. I do make my own meatballs, kind of like therapy!
Hope you have a great 2009!
