THE GIFT OF A SON.........

I have been blessed with many wonderful gifts in my life, and many, many wonderful experiences, but none compare with the blessings of having children. I have three, and they are all grown now and pretty much on their own. One of those special gifts came to me twenty seven years ago today. His name is Tim, and today is his birthday.

Happy Birthday Babes! I couldn't love you more!

AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

We have a new sign in the store that says, There is Always Something to be Thankful For......

Though the sign is a new item for the upcoming Holiday Season, it made me think. We seem to be so caught up in the endless stream of bad news lately.......the economy, the stock market frenzy, gas prices.......ykes! Is there anything good?

Not anymore! Instead of focusing on what's wrong, I am going to focus on what's right! A reminder of sorts...... that no matter what, There is Always Something to be Thankful For!

Someone will always be prettier

Some will always be smarter.

Some of their houses will be bigger.

Some will drive a better car.

Their children will do better in school,

and their husband will fix more things around the house.

So let it go, and love you and your circumstances.

Think about it!

The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart.

And the most highly favored woman on your

job may be unable to have children.

And the richest woman you know,

she's got the car, the house, the clothes, might be lonely.

And the word says,"If I have not Love, I am nothing."

So again love you.

Love who you are.

Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say,

I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed, to be disappointed!

Winners make things happen.

Losers let things happen.

Be "blessed" ladies,

and pass this on to encourage  another woman.

To the world, you might be one person

but to the one person you just sent this to

it could mean so much.

A CELEBRATION GIVEAWAY!

Let the Holiday Season Begin....... A COZY VIGNETTE

There are cozy little places, small niches around my home that are just some of my favorite spots. This little vignette in my kitchen is just one of those places.  The small rooster lamp was a housewarming gift from my sister, and the "Angel Blessings" sign was a birthday gift from a friend who knows my love of collecting angels.  The large pub clock and the sunflower arrangement are treasures I brought home from my store along with the basket of cinnamon scented pine cones, another favorite for this time of year!
